Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 5 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of MobileBatteryService.lk and to services arranged through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, or other communication channels.

By requesting or accepting a service from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Us

MobileBatteryService.lk provides mobile vehicle battery and roadside battery assistance, including battery testing, battery delivery, battery replacement, and jump start services.

Business: Colombo Jump Start & Battery Service
Address: 125 E W Perera Mawatha, Colombo 01000, Sri Lanka
Phone: 072 649 0111
Operating Hours: 24 hours

2. Our Services

Depending on availability, location, vehicle type, and circumstances, our services may include:

The availability of a particular service is not guaranteed until we confirm the job.

3. Service Requests

When requesting assistance, you should provide accurate information about your vehicle, location, symptoms, and any other information reasonably required to assess the job.

This may include the vehicle make, model, year, engine type, battery specification, registration details, current location, and description of the problem.

Incorrect or incomplete information may result in delays, incorrect battery selection, additional charges, or our inability to complete the service.

4. Service Availability

We aim to provide mobile assistance as quickly as reasonably possible, but response times are estimates rather than guarantees.

Arrival times may be affected by:

A quoted or estimated arrival time should not be treated as a guaranteed arrival time.

5. Prices and Quotations

Where possible, we will provide the applicable price or an estimate before dispatch or before additional work is carried out.

Prices may depend on factors including the required battery, vehicle type, location, travel distance, time of service, technical difficulty, and work required.

If circumstances at the vehicle differ materially from the information originally provided, we may revise the quotation before continuing with the work.

6. Battery Prices

Battery prices may change according to brand, model, specification, supplier pricing, availability, warranty, and whether an old battery is exchanged.

Prices displayed on the website should therefore be treated as indicative unless explicitly confirmed for your particular order.

We will confirm the applicable battery and price before replacement wherever reasonably possible.

7. Old Battery Exchange

Some battery prices may be quoted on an old-battery exchange basis.

If an exchange price has been quoted, the customer’s existing battery must normally be surrendered when the replacement battery is installed.

If the old battery is unavailable, unsuitable for exchange, or the customer wishes to retain it, the final battery price may be different.

We will inform you where an old-battery exchange affects the quoted price.

8. Battery Compatibility

Battery recommendations are based on information available to us, vehicle specifications, the existing battery, and/or information supplied by the customer.

Vehicles may have different battery specifications depending on model year, engine, trim level, Start-Stop systems, modifications, previous repairs, or manufacturer requirements.

Our technician may therefore need to inspect the vehicle or existing battery before confirming the replacement.

9. Battery Testing and Diagnosis

A vehicle that does not start is not necessarily suffering from a failed battery.

Starting problems can also be caused by the alternator, starter motor, electrical system, wiring, terminals, immobilizer, fuel system, or other vehicle components.

Battery testing and jump starting are intended to help assess or address battery-related starting problems. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, they should not be considered a complete mechanical or electrical diagnosis of the vehicle.

10. Jump Start Service

A successful jump start does not mean that the battery, alternator, or charging system is in good condition.

A vehicle may stop again after being jump-started.

Where we identify signs of a weak battery, charging-system problem, or another possible fault, we may recommend further testing, battery replacement, or inspection by a qualified repair facility.

We cannot guarantee how long a vehicle will continue operating after a jump start.

11. Vehicle Condition and Pre-Existing Faults

Our technicians will take reasonable care when working on your vehicle.

However, we are not responsible for faults, damage, deterioration, modifications, wiring problems, battery-terminal damage, electrical issues, or other conditions that existed before our service began.

You should tell the technician about any known electrical problems, modifications, damaged terminals, unusual starting procedures, or other relevant vehicle conditions before work begins.

12. Customer Authorization

By asking us to carry out work, you confirm that you are the vehicle owner or have appropriate authority from the owner to authorize the service.

You authorize us to perform the work reasonably necessary to provide the service you requested.

If additional work or charges become necessary, we will seek approval where reasonably practicable before proceeding.

13. Access and Safety

The vehicle must be located somewhere our technician can reasonably and safely access.

We may refuse, postpone, or stop a service if conditions are unsafe, unlawful, inaccessible, or likely to create unreasonable risk to the customer, technician, vehicle, or other persons.

14. Battery Warranty

Where a replacement battery includes a manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty, the applicable warranty conditions are determined by that manufacturer or supplier.

Warranty coverage may vary by battery brand and model.

Customers should retain invoices, warranty documents, battery serial information, and other proof of purchase where provided.

A warranty generally does not automatically cover problems caused by misuse, incorrect charging, vehicle electrical faults, accident damage, physical damage, unauthorized modification, neglect, or other exclusions imposed by the relevant manufacturer or supplier.

Any warranty claim will be assessed according to the applicable warranty terms.

15. Payments

We accept payment methods including:

Other payment methods may be accepted when specifically agreed.

Payment is due according to the price agreed for the service. Where a battery or other product is specially ordered, payment or confirmation may be required before dispatch.

16. Cancellations

If you need to cancel a service request, please contact us as soon as possible.

If a technician has already been dispatched, travelled toward your location, arrived at the location, or expenses have already been incurred specifically for your job, a reasonable call-out, travel, cancellation, or other applicable charge may be payable.

Any such charge will depend on the circumstances of the service request.

17. Incorrect Location or Customer Unavailable

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate service location and remaining reasonably contactable after requesting a service.

Additional charges may apply if significant additional travel or waiting time results from an incorrect location, inability to contact the customer, or circumstances outside our control.

18. Limitation of Liability

We will take reasonable care when providing our services.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from a vehicle breakdown, inability to use a vehicle, missed appointments, lost business, travel disruption, or similar consequences.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable Sri Lankan law.

19. Third-Party Technicians and Service Providers

Where appropriate, we may arrange or coordinate assistance using technicians, suppliers, or service partners.

Relevant customer, vehicle, and location information may be provided to them where reasonably necessary to complete the requested service.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on MobileBatteryService.lk accurate and current.

The latest version will be published on MobileBatteryService.lk with an updated revision date.

25. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

Any rights available to customers under applicable Sri Lankan law remain unaffected where those rights cannot legally be excluded or limited by these Terms.
